Philip de la Gueronniere
Philip de la Gueronniere is the President and Founder of Cortland LLC. Mr. de la Gueronniere saw an opportunity to merge innovation developed by innovative startups, incubators and accelerators with fortune 500 companies looking to supplant their existing innovation processes. Through a proprietary network of suppliers, Cortland reduces cost while increasing the speed to market for innovative new products.
Previously, Mr. de la Gueronniere was the Senior Vice President of Genome Digital, a digital innovation agency located in New York. He was responsible for sales and business development across innovation, experiential and ecommerce offerings.
Mr. de la Gueronniere was the Vice President of Ven Commerce a New York based technology company focused on growing B2B ecommerce revenue vis a vis customer acquisition through new retail stores. Ven integrates quickly and seamlessly with back-end systems to maximize revenue by leveraging Ven's proprietary software.
Mr. de la Gueronniere was the Co-founder and CEO of ArxSocial, the North American licensee for YuuZoo Corporation, a worldwide next generation social media company headquartered in Singapore. YuuZoo has developed a unique turnkey social media platform for end users of the web, mobile web, and applications. YuuZoo was acquired by Contel Corporation for S$582m in April of 2013.
Mr. de la Gueronniere was a Director at BE International, a global advertising agency holding company with 26 offices worldwide. Having been a key team member at both traditional and new media companies, Mr. de la Guéronnière was focused on expanding the business in Sports, Gaming and strategic partnerships. In addition to his work at BE International, he worked with and facilitated business with Global Brands Group, Hallmark, IMG World Wide, and MTV Networks among others. Mr. de la Guéronnière was responsible for the corporate branding efforts of Global Brands Group a company focused on licensing the FIFA World Cup, Disney Consumer Products, Warner Bros., and PGA Tour worldwide. In addition, he secured the character re-design of Hallmark’s Rainbow Brite, a $1B property relaunched in Q4 2009.
In 2007, Mr. de la Gueronniere was involved with the expansion of publicly traded NeuLion, Inc.’s (NLN.TO) partnerships in the IPTV space. Mr. de la Gueronniere was instrumental in the National Hockey League’s selection of NeuLion as their official IPTV provider. That business arrangement resulted in serving video for all 30 teams and offering the popular Center Ice package of live games to hockey fans worldwide. Other clients Mr. de la Guéronnière secured include the International Fight League, Todobebe.com, TheGymBox.com, and Dove Media Group.
In 2003, Mr. de la Gueronniere joined Global Media Television, a boutique distributor responsible for the sale of movies, series, and specials, to broadcast, cable, and premium television outlets. While working in the Office of the President at Global Media Television, he was responsible for sales efforts and day-to-day operations of Global Media Television. As a key member of the team, Mr. de la Guéronnière assisted in selling library titles from Kushner- Locke, Castle Hill Productions, and Empire Pictures to broadcast, cable, and premium television outlets; the syndication of two barter-movie packages and two cash-movie packages to broadcast stations across the country; and production and development of original programming to cable networks such as MTV, Vh1, USA, We, and E! and helped facilitate agreements with Major League Baseball, NBC Universal and Starz Entertainment Group.
Mr. de la Gueronniere is a member of UNICEF’s Next Generation and a member of Breakout. He is a graduate of The Gunnery and resides with his wife in Houston, Texas.
